Wiikey.cn Site Down

Poster: Aron Schatz
Posted on December 20, 2007 at 4:01:45 PM
Well, I've been searching on the cause for the modchip's site being down and couldn't turn up anything useful. Their site has been down for the past week and is now showing the Apache default page.

Speculation is running high. Was it Nintendo that shut them down? Maybe it was a server failure? Who knows... All I want to know is when they are coming back.

Modchips are legal. They allow you to play import games. Whatever I want to do to my own hardware is my business... not the company that sold it to me.

Feds Go After Modchip Makers

Poster: Aron Schatz
Posted on August 2, 2007 at 4:13:11 PM
It seems that the Feds have nothing better todo than go after modchip people. These devices allow you to play homebrew and import games. This country is stupid. Why go after this stuff when people are getting killed and raped. I guess protecting companies are more important than people.

Quote

The alleged sale and distribution of illegal modification chips and copyright circumvention devices for the popular consoles and others included 32 search warrants in 16 states, said the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. ICE declined to release the names of those targeted but said they are allegedly responsible for importing, installing, selling and distributing foreign-made devices smuggled into the U.S. Illegal chips and other devices used on gaming consoles violate the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998. Sales of counterfeit or illegally obtained games costs the industry about $3 billion a year globally, not including Internet piracy, estimates the Entertainment Software Association trade group.

Even though the Xbox 360 controller works fine on the computer, a little modding here and there makes everything just a tiny bit better. You will be able to use USB thumb drives with your Xbox too!Next Page »

Cooler Master Musketeer 2
The Musketeer 2 fits in a 5.25" drive bay and gives you some feedback about your hard drive and speaker utilization. I am deeply disappointed with this unit. Why does quality control mean so little in this day and age? Read on...Next Page »

Quieting a hot dual-Athlon, dual-hard drive workstation: Leo applies PC silencing concepts freely, modifying them to his needs, and goes the whole 9 yards with a slew of mods. He gets very close to his elusive goal and, in the process, comes up with an effective new silencing technique for really noisy hard drives.

Abit KT333 boards VCore mod

Poster: Aron Schatz
Posted on July 11, 2002 at 2:35:25 PM
Get those boards up to 2.11v.

The Vcore maximally attainable by the modification is afterwards in the hardware monitor of the Bios readable. Owing to the modification now well 2.1 V are attainable, whereby here above all also the used power pack plays an important role. (Translation)

BGA Ramsinks review

Poster: Aron Schatz
Posted on June 10, 2002 at 5:35:39 PM
EXHardware reviews some nice looking BGA ramsinks.

Without the RAMsinks, our Visiontek GeForce4 Ti 4400 could be overclocked up to a maximum 310/660 but after the RAMsinks were installed, I was able to push the memory 15MHz faster for an effective maximum overclock of 310/375 which is excellent for a GeForce4 Ti 4400 graphics card! Besides helping increase the memory overclock, the RAMsinks also help to cool the memory down and it also adds that custom touch to your GeForce4 card making it look as awesome as it performs. Highly recommended!

Easy Case Mod

Poster: Aron Schatz
Posted on May 31, 2002 at 3:57:40 PM
Overclocker Cafe shows you how to make some easy case mods.

Not to long ago I was having a conversation with someone who very much wanted to mod their box but was under the impression it was extremely difficult and expensive to do. Most of us know that this is incorrect but I wanted to try and illustrate how easy and economical someone can buy the case mod accessories to create a really nice box.

Ice cube case Mod

Poster: Aron Schatz
Posted on May 29, 2002 at 3:43:12 PM
What a cool case.

Well since this was the first time working with Plexiglas this will not be as detailed of a MOD as most of our other MODs. I was doing many things over and over due to errors and mistakes. This should and will give you the idea since most steps I'll have pictures for and the steps without pictures I will explain to you. I have learned something the hard way and I will pass those on to you as well so you do not make the same errors I did. Since I love the way this case came out and lights up, you can bet that I will do one more case like this one with better step by step instructions as well as diagrams for you to download and use for your own project.
