It wasn't too long ago that technology pushed the 1TB limit on hard drives back and now Western Digital provides the same push to 2TB. The Caviar Green drive is certain aimed for high density storage.
1TB limit? It was only a couple years ago where you needed to string together hard drives in RAID to get near 1TB.
I will add, though, that until magnetic storage does hit a wall, SSDs will not replace the ubiquitous 3.5" drive.
